It starts from Città della Pieve, a town of Etruscan-Roman origin located on a hill at 508 m. dominating the Valdichiana and Lake Trasimeno, from the area of the church of S. Francesco.
Passing by the monastery of S. Lucia you go towards Camparche, along a pleasant and very panoramic ridge and then descend towards the Tre Molini area.
Turning to the right, you climb decisively and then cross a particularly beautiful hilly landscape where stretches of cerreta alternate with ancient farmhouses and meadows. Entering in Pievaiola at the end, descend towards Piegaro to turn off along a dirt road that takes us to the Nestore valley.
You ford the stream and go up the other side, always upstream of Piegaro, to take the road that goes towards Monteleone d’Orvieto. Along the road, which is paved but with little traffic, you cross beautiful and shady woods of Turkey oak and downy oak. Once in Monteleone, take the road back to Città della Pieve, accompanied by great views towards Tuscany.
