Built at the end of the 12th century by the Knights of Jerusalem, the current Knights of Malta, the Torre dei Lambardi stands in an elevated position over the town of Magione. The building was at the center of bitter battles throughout the fourteenth century and, until the end of the Middle Ages, the possession of this extraordinary fortress was contended on a recurring basis.
Today the tower is a fascinating panoramic terrace and a modern exhibition center for qualified contemporary art exhibitions. Open from April to September from Thursday to Sunday.
Opening by reservation: “Tarsminas, the Etruscan lake. Daily life at Trasimeno through images of the sacred ”.
